Living in Coronado
Coronado is a city on a peninsula across the bay from downtown San Diego, reached by the San Diego-Coronado Bridge or by the Silver Strand from Imperial Beach. Orange Avenue is its main street.
The Hotel del Coronado, opened in 1888, sits on a wide beach. Naval Air Station North Island and Naval Amphibious Base Coronado are here, so many residents are Navy families.
